Weekly Zoom Calls

Each week we'll meet to discuss what you've got going on that you would like to work on. We'll discuss principles and practices that might help with your particular situation, and what that might look like, and you'll choose a tool you'd like to apply to the situation. The following week, we'll talk about your experience with that tool, and where you'd like to go from there, or what you'd like to work on next.

Goals & Accountability

At the end of each call, you'll set a goal for the coming week based on a tool or practice you'd like to apply to your current situation, and we'll discuss what that might look like. You'll choose how you'll want to be accountable that week.

Joyfulness Mentoring is all about:

Our weekly appointments will be over zoom. I'll ask what you'd like help working on that week and you'll share what you're struggling with or what you're wanting to work toward. I'll teach you a couple of possible tools or practices that might be helpful. You'll ask questions and we'll discuss how the tools might help, and you'll choose what you'd like your goal to be that week, and how you'd like to be accountable for it. We'll schedule our next appointment. Then the next time, we'll begin with discussing how that went, then where you want to go from there.

Some of the tools I will share might take a few minutes each morning or evening. Most are changes that you incorporate into what you're already doing, so won't take much extra time at all. It's more a matter of shifting your thoughts and your focus. 

If you approach these new habits wholeheartedly, you may discover that you're noticing differences in as little as a few days.

If you are experiencing depression that is not helped by making these changes, you may find additional benefit by seeking the advice of a qualified professional, as well. I personally have found tremendous benefit in this when I needed it.

This is a really important question, and one that I used to ask myself. When I was unwilling or unable to see that I could choose what to think and how to respond to the stressors in my life, I was stuck. It wasn't until I became open to those possibilities that I was ready to make the necessary changes. But when I did, I experienced a dramatic shift in my life and my happiness, even though nothing else about my situation changed.
